On Sunday, June 22, the actress delighted fans with a funny and endearing video showing her husband, filmmaker Kazim Adeoti, gifting her two toys he playfully referred to as “Labubu.”
Although the items weren’t exactly what she had hoped for, Mercy lovingly accepted the surprise, writing:
“So I told my hubby @kazimadeoti that I don’t mind getting another Labubu to pimp a new bag I just bought! And this is what Alhaji got I am a very good wife.”
In another clip she posted, Mercy flaunted a Labubu-inspired cake, revealing it was the second gift she had received after mentioning her interest in owning one of the popular toys.
Labubu, a quirky line of collectible plush monster elves designed by Kasing Lung in Hong Kong, is currently trending among Nigerian women, with many now eager to own one.
Mercy’s lighthearted reaction to her husband’s humorous gesture has since left fans amused and entertained.
