Transfer: Garnacho declines departure from Man Utd following Chelsea discussions

Manchester United winger, Alejandro Garnacho has rejected an offer to leave Old Trafford this summer as he holds out for a move to Chelsea.

The Argentina international has long been destined to leave the Red Devils after a falling out with manager Ruben Amorim at the end of last season.

Garnacho has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer and the Blues are keen to welcome him to Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old is said to have already agreed personal terms with Enzo Maresca’s side.

Although Chelsea still have to match Man United’s valuation before a sale is approved.

Man United want to raise around £50m from Ganracho’s sale but Chelsea value the winger at around £30m.

Widespread reports indicate that Bayern Munich are one such team who were keen to explore the possibility of a deal for Garnacho in the final weeks of the summer window.

However, Garnacho is said to have informed the German Bundesliga champions that he only has eyes on a move to Chelsea, as reported by Metro UK.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are likely to have to raise funds through departures before they can make serious progress on a deal for Garnacho.

The Old Trafford club need to sell the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson to raise funds to complete Ganracho’s signing from United.
