According to Talksport, Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are also preparing a staggering transfer offer of over £130 million for Isak.

The striker’s omission from Newcastle’s pre-season tour of Singapore has only added fuel to the transfer speculation.

While Liverpool and Al-Hilal race to secure Isak’s signature, Chelsea and Manchester United have already ruled themselves out of the race.

United, in particular, have turned their attention elsewhere after recent investments in Brazil’s Matheus Cunha, 26, and Cameroon’s Bryan Mbeumo, 25. (Mail)

Should Isak depart, Newcastle have reportedly identified RB Leipzig’s Slovenian forward Benjamin Sesko, 22, as their prime transfer target. (ipaper)

In a move to secure key assets, Liverpool have offered French centre-back Ibrahima Konate, 26, a new contract to ward off Real Madrid, who are reportedly keen on a summer or 2026 swoop. (Footmercato)
