Trump gives Hamas ‘three or four days’ to accept Gaza peace plan

US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the Hamas leadership has just “three or four days” to decide whether to accept his newly unveiled Gaza peace plan.

Speaking to reporters before departing the White House, Trump stressed that Israeli and Arab leaders have already signaled support for the proposal and that the holdout remains Hamas.

“We’re just waiting for Hamas,” Trump said. “They’ve got about three or four days. Hamas is either going to be doing it or not, and if it’s not, it’s going to be a very sad end.”

Pressed on whether the plan left room for renegotiation, Trump was blunt: “Not much.”

DAILY POST reports that the US initiative, presented at the White House on Monday, calls for the release of all hostages within 72 hours, the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, and the transfer of governance to a transitional technocratic authority.

Under the terms, Hamas members who voluntarily surrender their weapons would be granted amnesty.

The proposal is being reviewed by Hamas negotiators, with mediators in Qatar and Egypt expected to deliver a formal response in the coming days.
