UCL: Galatasaray would’ve beaten Liverpool 2-0 – Büyüka criticizes Osimhen

Turkish journalist and sports commentator Şansal Büyüka has criticized Victor Osimhen following Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League 1-0 win against Liverpool in mid-week.

Büyüka insisted that Galatasaray would’ve beaten Liverpool 2-0 if Osimhen had passed the ball to teammate Yunus Akgün during the encounter.

Recall that Osimhen’s first-half penalty goal gave Galatasaray the win against Liverpool at Rams Park.

Evaluating Galatasaray’s victory over Liverpool on the Sports Digitale YouTube channel, Büyüka said (via Habersarikirmizi): “I can’t bear to say this.

“Osimhen, who has such a strong sense of belonging to Galatasaray, was shocked when Alisson came on in the 49th minute. The goal was empty, and Yunus Akgün was screaming; he was going to score an empty goal.

“Don’t do it, Osimhen! You are also a man with a peak team spirit. Give the ball there and let Yunus Akgün score. The match would have been 2-0.”

Galatasaray’s next match is against Beşiktaş in the Turkish Super Lig this weekend.
