Speaking on Politics Today on Friday, Tambuwal stressed that his political decisions are based on principle and leadership values, not personal ties.
> “When it comes to leadership of this country and leadership of the people, tomorrow, not even today, I would rather support Atiku than Nyesom Wike,” he stated.
The former governor emphasized that his past political disagreements — including with former President Goodluck Jonathan — were rooted in policy direction and governance principles, not personal grievances.
> “We disagreed on principle, the way, and the direction things are going. I had no problem personally with Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, but we disagreed, and I left PDP for APC,” he recalled.
Tambuwal added that he has always maintained cordial relationships across political divides, noting that friendship should be separated from matters of leadership.
