Yoruba Mandate Group appoints new Director-General

The Yoruba Mandate Group Worldwide has announced the appointment of Prince Olufemi Folademi as its new Director-General.

In a statement signed by the Convener, Akogun Banji Ojo, the group confirmed that Folademi, who until now served as the organisation’s General Secretary in the United States of America, will take over the leadership of the movement. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Administration.

The statement further disclosed that the Board of Directors, at its stakeholders’ meeting held on August 16, 2025, unanimously approved a number of other key appointments. Among them are Barr. Femi Ogunjimi as Director of Legal Services, Hon. Gbenga Amosun as Director of Administration and Strategy, Alhaji Rasaq Bodunrin as Chairman of the Coordinators’ Forum Worldwide, Alhaji Dr. Adewale Sanni as Director of Finance and Planning, and Rev. Dr. Babajide Kayode as Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

It added that all appointments take immediate effect.

While expressing profound appreciation to the outgoing Director-General, Chief Olufemi Soluade, for his “outstanding leadership and dedication” over the past decade, the group said Prince Folademi would be succeeding Otunba Soluade, who had led the Yoruba Mandate Group for ten years.
